OUR KEY PRODUCT DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS:
Compliance with environmental legislation.
End of life functionality.
Maximise the percentage of recoverable materials: reusable, reworkable or recyclable.
Design products with reduced overall weight, decreasing carbon at the source.
Where possible we source materials and components locally, reducing overall emissions.
Use materials with as much pre-recycled content as possible.
Use less dense raw materials with low embodied carbon energy and reduced material extraction.
Only use packaging that can be recycled or is compostable after use.
All packaging materials is FSC or BSI ISO14001 EMS approved.
All electrical components are made easily accessible and can be serviced or repaired in situ – serviceability.
Design for lifetime optimum performance by only using high-quality components.
Include standardised light source components for interoperable future replacements – future-proofing the product.
Look to create the best for efficiency and reduced power consumption.
All structural elements are designed so that new technologies can easily be integrated – upgradability.
Incorporate intelligent lighting controls or sensor options to prevent unnecessary energy wastage.
Offer human-centric lighting integration for healthier lighting environments.
